Home Integration
There is a lot of confusion regarding the nomenclature used to describe the system we install in our customer's homes. For years the term "Home Automation" has been used. The definition of Automation is - the technique, method, or system of operating or controlling a process by highly automatic means, as by electronic devices, reducing human intervention to a minimum. Our integrated home systems do have a certain level of automatic day to day operations. We can design systems that turn on/off lights at predetermined times, raise and lower solar shades to protect art and furniture from fading, cue up your favorite music to great you as you come home, automatically arm/disarm your alarm system to allow service people in, turn your pool pump/heater on or off, record camera images during certain times or events and even open and close your gate for predefined periods of time every day. An automated home certainly provides a high level of comfort, convenience, enjoyment and piece of mind.
A Systems Design home system emphasizes the Home Integration part of our systems as much as or more than the Home Automation part. The definition of Integration is - behavior, as of an individual, that is in harmony with the environment. We at Systems Design put a very high importance on the integration side of your project. We want you and your family to feel at harmony with all of the technologies included in your home. We want you to feel confident that anyone will be able to easily integrate with your home's technologies. The integration of our systems includes combining all of your house sub systems, AV, lights, shades, HVAC, security, cameras, gate controls, intercoms, etc., into a single easy to use interface. The integration part is how we define how your subsystems work based on your specific needs at the time. A touch of a single "Away" button shuts off the interiors lights, turns on the driveway lights, opens the gate, turns the AV systems off, closes the shades and starts a count down to arm the system. One touch simple control is done through our specifically designed integrated systems allowing you to live in harmony with your home's technology.
A smart use of Automation with a careful consideration of Integration is the key ingredient to a whole house system that provides years of comfort, convenience, enjoyment and peace of mind. A Systems Design project assures you both at the highest level. |
